The Condensation Management Device (CMD) is 3 moisture removal device for automotive lighting and other electronic enclosures. This device contains a regenerabie desiccant which adsorbs moisture from the lamp or endosure, and when it cycles periodically, the desiccant is regenerated by heating. This moisture vapor passes by a movabfe valve and out of the device's membrane vent. When the device is turned off, the valve moves back to cover the outside (desorb) port opening, and the desiccant can pick up (adsorb) more moisture from inside the endosure. This moisture adsorb into the device is primarily by diffusion, and it can take many hours to adsorb available moisture in the endosure air.
