Blockchain is an ecosystem with a tremendous amount of innovation and development. There are some industry bodies getting involved, however, it will take some time to standardize. Moreover, the higher migration costs from legacy systems also represents a technological shift, so for big corporates, it complexifies the use cases and hinders further adoption. Though it is a decade old concept, very limited details are available with detailed technical information. Due to lack of enough successful implementations, organizations are waiting before investing because of legacy infrastructure and the higher costs to utilize this new technology. There are lot of apprehensions of acceptance from different industries/governments, and on top of that, the regulatory environment is further preventing and/or slowing down the mainstream adoption of Blockchain technology. It would require a mindset change to accept this technology, very similar to accepting agile methodology against traditional project management techniques.
