摘要

Compact and high-performance laser Doppler velocimeter was discussed. First, characteristics of the interference fringe produced by the laser doppler velocimeter using a diffractive beam splitter were studied, and it was found that the way to space the optical elements such that the variatioin of the period of the interference fringe along the optical axis is minimized. A compact setup to produce such a fringe was proposed. In the case where the long working distance (the distance between the measured object and the velocimeter) is required, the length of the setup can be drastically reduced.
