Officials with Zixlt Corp. said they have secured online credit card databases ran by subsidiary Anacom Communications, Inc., which had been hacked June 18. The company partnered with the federal government to eliminate potential risks posed by the illegal access. After being informed that hackers had improperly accessed the credit card databases at Anacom and processed fraudulent transactions, Zixlt management terminated access to the Anacom transaction processing system. Zixlt also requested the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigate the attack.
