19 Companies Join OASIS To Spur XML Development

Extensible markup language (XML) for e-commerce is gaining widespread support from the information technology industry as 19 firms this month became sponsors of the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information Standards (OASIS), an organization advocating XML applications. OASIS has more than 140 member companies promoting industry-standard specifications for e-business interoperability.
