Constraints for activities implemented jointly (AIJ) technology transfer in Africa

This paper outlines institutional constraints in relation to technology transfer and development in Afria. Institutional constraints are inherent in ineffcient organizational, admisistration and management structures. Lack of institutioanl, incentive systems and technological capacities to re-organize institutions limits the potential for the transfer of technologies. It is practically difficult to design, implement and manage AIJ projects in Afria without a provision of rcapacity building. Existing institutions need strengthening and human capacity needd to be developed.
