WIND GROWTH MODERATES

Global wind capacity grew by 7% within the first six months of 2012 and by 16.4% on an annual basis (mid-2012 compared with mid-2011). This was 2% less than the same period in 2011 while, in comparison, the annual growth rate in 2011 was 20.3%.
