WestJet's regional subsidiary named WestJet Encore

WestJet has confirmed that the name of its new regional airline, due to launch operations in the second half of 2013, will be WestJet Encore. The company has appointed Ferio Pugliese as president of WestJet Encore, and executive vice-president of WestJet, with immediate effect. Earlier this year, WestJet agreed a deal for up to 45 Bombardier Q400s for the new carrier, which will announce its schedule in early 2013.
