I think that machines of the 1920s and '30s can be a little neglected. A nice Curtiss Robin goes a long way to capturing the feel of the era and one day I hope build an electric version of the Fokker FVII that Sir Charles Kingsford Smith made famous and Avro license built as the Avro 10. With this in mind, here's my new design. The combination of Depron and foam is a bit odd; the original intention was for a flat sheet wing with a curve in it, but this proved wholly unsuccessful as I couldn't make the curved panel sufficiently rigid and so retro-fitted the cut-foam replacement. The model spans 40" and I call it The Bushwhacker. It's intended to be a gentle park flyer with the rustic look of a 1920s style bush plane.
