UK Railtours is offering a rare chance to travel on a charter train along the 11-mile freight-only Boulby branch in Cleveland. The 'Grinkle Belle' on September 2 starts at King's Cross and runs via the ECML to Northallerton before heading east to Middlesbrough, diverging onto the freight branch before Saltburn station. Sunday is the only day on which a path along the branch can be guaranteed due to the frequency and unpredictable nature of potash traffic on the line.
