The Branch Line Society is planning a charity tour with First TransPennine Express using a Class 185 on September 8. The train leaves Manchester Piccadilly at 0900 and covers numerous depot lines, centre roads, loops and freight curves in the Sheffield, Wakefield, York and Manchester areas. The tour is in aid of the Railway Children and TPE and Network Rail have waived all charges. It is anticipated a refreshment trolley will be provided, however it has requested that no alcohol is consumed aboard.
