Vossloh G12 and G18 designs receive German type approval

With immediate effect, two of vossloh's newest designs have been granted type approval for Germany; the four-axle, diesel-hydraulic G12 and G18 were preceded by the smaller, three-axle G6 shunter a couple of years ago. The G12 and G18 have been granted a TSI LOC&PAS certification. This means that the locomotives comply with a number of specifications that apply to the entire European region. As a result, obtaining type approval in different European countries is made easier. With TSI LOC&PAS, only country specific demands still have to be met.
