Stephenson's Huskys

Robertstephenson & Hawthorns was well established in the diesel market by the mid-1950s with its locos in the 150hp/200hp range, but the firm decided to enter the market for smaller shunters to compete against firms such as Ruston & Hornsby and its Type 88DS. The model introduced was given the name Husky and was a small four-coupled loco weighing in at 14 tons and powered by a 107hp Gardner 6LW engine.
