The first tube stock working of the year occurred on February 16 when 20096/107 and 20314/905 took sets 049/050 back to West Ruislip. Five days later the 20s worked back to Derby with sets 389/390 for modifications and the activity continued as we closed for press with the same 20s working 7X09 to West Ruislip on March 2 with sets 063/064. 31233 continued to be active throughout the period although its wings may have been clipped by the time this issue appears. It was widely expected that the end of the financial year would see the veteran machine taken out of traffic and offered for sale.
