Bombardier Signs An Integrated Logistics Services Contract With Italian Operator Trenitalia For The ETR500 Very High-Speed Trains

The ETR500 very high-speedtrains have been in service inItaly since the mid-1990’s andhave operated under Trenitalia’sFrecciarossa (red arrow) brandsince 2008.Bombardier Transportation andTrenitalia recently signed a newcontract for integrated logisticsservices to support the fleetof ETR500 very high-speedtrains. The base order is forsix years and there is also anoption for a further six years.This is an important step in theETR500 fleet’s lifecycle as itenables Trenitalia to leveragethe benefits of Bombardier’sservice excellence acquiredduring its management ofprevious logistics and rollingstock maintenance contracts.
