Structures update

For the month of April, I have asked Don Sorgenfrei, group vice president of the Structures Functional Group, to give an update of activities in his area. Don is the leader of seven committees that are responsible for writing recommended practices in the Manual for buildings, bridges and clearances. Here is his report. "The Structures Functional Group is responsible for the development and maintenance of structural recommended practices for the railroad industry, as it appears in the Manual for Railway Engineering.
