The annual NRC Railroad Construction and Maintenance Equipment Auction was held at Balfour Beatty Rail's Washington, Pa., facility on April 22. Thank you to everyone who attended, placed bids, donated or consigned equipment. I would especially like to thank NRC Auction Committee Chairman Mark Meyer of Balfour Beatty Rail and his key lieutenants, Shop Superintendent Tim Simmons and Shop Supervisor Chris Keck. It takes a serious commitment to orchestrate an auction. By all measures, this year's event was a success, largely due to the efforts of Mark, Tim and Chris. Blackmon Auctions once again did a great job as the auctioneer.
