Federal TIGER and FASTLANE grants award $395 million to rail projects

Two federal grant programs designed to bolster infrastructure projects released award winners in the past month. The eighth round of the popular Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery (TIGER) program awarded $80.7 million to rail projects while the new Fostering Advancements in Shipping and Transportation for the Long-Term Achievement of National Efficiencies (FASTLANE) grants awarded $314 million to rail projects.
