It can be difficult for those within an industry focused solely on infrastructure to be reminded that folks on the outside may fail to find excitement in construction, maintenance or anything else having to do with that infrastructure. Their loss, right? But it's an important distinction to make, especially as it pertains to funds for transit. One of the common challenges shared by transit agencies is how to pay for growth and, at times, core maintenance when budgetary concerns crop up on a regular basis.
