Lake-effect snow can't stop NRC equipment auction

More than one hundred railroaders, railroad contractors and equipment suppliers braved a surprise April blizzard in Ash-tabula, Ohio, on April 5 for the 4th Annual NRC Contracting Equipment Auction. It had been 83 degrees in Tulsa, Okla., when I left the day before. Upon arriving on Delta Railroad Construction's property in Ashtabula, about an hour northeast of Cleveland right on the Great Lakes, we were all educated on the intricacies of the unique weather pattern known as the lake effect.
