The Brussels metro Line 2 extension from Delacroix to Gare de l'Ouest is due to be opened on April 2 by King Albert II.rnAt the same time the metro network will be restructured into four lines:rn1. Line 1: Stockel - Centrale - Gare de l'Ouest (12-7 km)rn2. Line 2: Simonis Leopold II - Ring - Simonis Elisabeth (10-3 km)rn3. Line 5: Erasme - Centrale - Hermann De-broux (17-6 km)rn4. Line 6: Simonis Elisabeth - Ring - Roi Bau-douin (15-5 km)rnThe east-west and inner ring metro axes will be complemented by north-south premetro lines 3 and 4 and the outer ring.rnOn February 25, Brussels transport operator STIB signed a contract with CAF for an additional six metro trains, with an option for a further seven. The order is an extension of the original contract for 15 Boa trains which was signed in early 2004.
