Sadly, many of our favorite modeling products of the past are no longer available. This has been the case of that plastic modeler's go-to liquid cement, Tenax 7R. It perfectly bonded those small and delicate details onto our models quickly with a clean, solid joint. To fill this void, JM Hobby Supply has back-engineered the original Tenax formula and improved upon it. Styrene Tack-It Ⅱ is a liquid solvent plastic cement that, when applied with a small brush to two plastic parts, quickly forms a bond, usually in ten seconds or less. An added advantage of this product is that it readily penetrates the joint between two items using capillary action due to its volatile nature. However, unlike many liquid plastic cements it has no noticeable smell even though adequate ventilation when using this and other hobby paints and glues is a must. To store between modeling projects, the lid on the jar needs to be screwed down tightly to minimize loss due to evaporation. For long-term storage it is suggested that the product be refrigerated.
