Wheel crud and dirty track-both are the bane of model railroad operators everywhere. While specialized track cleaning cars can provide us with ways to keep our track sparkling, dirty locomotive wheels can just as quickly return the dirt, causing stalling and jerky operation of our locomotives. Keeping a clean electrical path has never been more important than with DCC equipped power, lest we lose the DCC signal and have poor operation.
