The Rail Accident Investigation Branch (RAIB) has made no recommendations in relation to a near-miss between a passenger train and a delivery lorry at Mucking (Essex) on March 13 last year. It says the parties involved have already addressed the factors identified in the investigation. The incident occurred when the 1111 Fenchurch Street-Southend Central passed over Mucking automatic half-barrier level crossing (between East Tilbury and Stanford-le-Hope) just six seconds after a lorry partially loaded with concrete had reversed off the crossing. The train was travelling at 57mph at the time.
