Crossrail due to complete tunnel testing in early 2020

TESTING and fitting out of the Crossrail tunnels should be complete by the end of January, at which point the new stations and infrastructure will be integrated with the national network. In a project update released on October 21, Crossrail also said that by the end of 2019 the final fit-out, testing and commissioning is due to be completed at many of the new stations. An extensive period of trial running will then take place in the first quarter of 2020. The full opening of the Elizabeth Line is still planned to be within a six-month window between October 2020 and March 2021.
