London Underground has offered Tube workers a revised pay offer, which would give them a five per cent increase this year. Subsequent rises would see pay linked to the Retail Price Index, the inflation indicator, of 0.25 per cent in the following three years, and RPI plus 0.5 percent in the final year. The RMT union rejected the offer on 18 July, leading LU to issue a revised proposal on 4 August.
