EMT diesels giving cause for concern

The poor performance of the DMU fleet inherited by East Midlands Trains is giving concern, reports Tony Miles, with one insider describing the mechanical condition of some units as 'outrageous'. EMT has been further hampered by the need to operate for the first month of the new franchise (RB1306 p4) without four two-car sets which were promised for November 11 but which actually transferred on December 9.
