ORR to rule on Crossrail track access

Noon on March 17 was the deadline for interested parties to make representations before ORR publishes its final determination later this month on the terms of the 50-year Crossrail Track Access Option, for which Network Rail and the Department for Transport formally applied on July 23 2007. The TAO reserves rights for Crossrail passenger services to operate on the Great Western Main Line between Paddington and Maidenhead, including the branch to Terminal 5 at Heathrow, and also between Stratford and Shen-field on the Great Eastern Main Line. It does not apply to the new line to Abbey Wood nor the Cross-rail tunnels under central London.
