In response to a Freedom of Information request, DfT Rail has released the Net Present Values of the premia offered by the unsuccessful bidders for South West Trains. Stagecoach retained the franchise in September 2006 and is currently in dispute with DfT Rail over the terms of the cap and collar agreement.rnAs the anonymised figures reveal, Stagecoach retained SWT with an NPV of £555m more than the nearest offer and double that of the other unsuccessful bidders.
