Under its SQUASH campaign to improve cab conditions, ASLEF has written to FCC, London Overground, NXEA and Southern to inform them that the design of driver's seat fitted to recent builds of Electrostar EMU 'is not acceptable' and that an alternative 'must be found'. The union has also informed NXEA that if its concerns over D00 equipment are not properly addressed 'we will be in a dispute situation'.rnThe Technical Strategy Advisory Group facilitated by RSSB is consulting on a 30-year strategy due for publication in 2012, which aims to 'halve the cost of rail operations and its carbon footprint while doubling network capacity'. According to RSSB's Director of Policy, Research ft Risk Anson Jack, TSAG has outlined the state of play in the consultation document and we want industry and others who can contribute to take part.'
