Slow progress on bi-mode 22X

Bombardier insiders continue to express their frustration at the lack of progress in developing a bi-mode version of the Class 22X DEMU (RB1379 p9).rnBombardier's plan to insert a pantograph car into existing four and five-car Class 22X train-sets has been circulating for some time. Electrical equipment would be provided by Alstom, and the extra vehicle would have no toilets to maximise the gain in seating capacity.
