'By devolving power away from the centre, each route will be able to find its own way of working with its customers', said NR Managing Director, Network Operations, Robin Gisby. * After the inquest into the Grayrigg derailment of February 23 2007 determined that Margaret Masson had died as a result of an infrastructure fault, ORR would decide whether to prosecute Network Rail for health and safety offences once the Crown Prosecution Service had ruled out bringing more serious charges. 'We await their decision in this, case', said ORR Chief Inspector of Railways Ian Prosser in a letter to The Guardian last week.
