As a result of its activities across the country on June 9, BTP charged 113 drivers with level crossing misuse. NR reported that the first of its purpose-built camera vans, staffed by BTP officers and parked close to level crossings, had resulted in 1 131 prosecutions in the first three months of operation in the south of England.
