East Midlands Trains staged a line-up at its Etches Park depot in Derby on September 23 to mark the completion of work to refurbish its entire fieet. The £30m programme started in 2008 with refurbishment of EMT's 25 two-car Class 158 DMUs at a cost of £10m.The 17 Class 153s and 11 two-car Class 156 DMUs were refurbished in a £5m project which took 16 months. Four additional Class 156s transferred from Northern were also overhauled to match the rest of the EMT fleet.
