Merseyrail EMU procurement starts

Merseytravel announced on May 14 that it had begun procurement of a new rolling stock fleet for Merseyrail, having appointed recruitment consultants to draw up a list of candidates for the post of Project Director. The formal tendering process is expected to begin later this summer, with the new fleet delivered by 2017.
