EMT strikes continue

ASLEF members at East Midlands Trains are taking further strike action on May 15 and 17 over changes to pension contributions (RB1413 p10). This follows four days of industrial action and a failure to reach any agreement with EMT during talks on May 10 which left the TOC 'frustrated' at the union's stance.During the talks, EMT had restated its intention to reduce staff pension contributions in July, 'as recommended by independent pensions experts and the scheme's trustees'.
