DfT's smart ticketing plan emerges

Details of how DfT intends to spend the £45m allocated to develop smartcard-based flexible ticketing in London and the southeast were outlined in a presentation to the Transport Card Forum on March 19, Covering National Rail stations, the aim is to introduce 'smart, flexible season tickets' giving passengers more choice about 'when and how they travel'.
