RAIB is investigating the derailment of a tram carrying about 100 passengers at the stop outside East Croydon station at 06.25 on February 17. The layout here has three platform tracks with points allowing the centre track to be used in either direction. The tram was approaching from the Sandilands direction at 12 km/h after the driver had noticed an indicator showing he was routed into Platform 3.
