Knorr-Bremse buys Railcare

Sale of the business and assets of Railcare to Knorr-Bremse Rail Systems (UK) Ltd was completed on August 26. The company had been put into administration when Knorr-Bremse's previous offer failed at the last minute (RB1444 p5). Under the deal, the Railcare facilities at Wolverton and Spring-burn will continue to operate, preserving 'all 202 skilled jobs across both sites' according to the administrators.
