Installing and interfacing seven national ATP systems, plus ETCS and a further five national auto-matic warning systems is a key factor in the delays to production of the 10 16-car Siemens Velaro high-speed trainsets on order for Eurostar (RB1438 p6). Not only do these systems have to be interfaced with traction and braking systems, but their different cab displays have to be accommodated within the driver's desk.
