RMT calls for clarity

On January 29 RMT called for clarity on future rolling stock plans, claiming that the delay in signing the contract for the Thames-link total train service provision deal had thrown the national fleet replacement programme into 'total meltdown'. According to the union, this has resulted in a 'chronic shortage' of rolling stock at a time of 'massive' increases in passenger traffic.
