Thales sole contender for SSL resignalling

London Underground announced on April 25 that Thales would be invited to tender for the contract to resignal the Circle, Hammersmith & City, District and Metropolitan lines with Automatic Train Control, following termination of the contract with Bombardier (RB1453 p1). LU said that it was now working with Thales 'to secure a firm commitment with a competitive cost, delivering value for money, and with a realistic and reliable commissioning programme'.
