TfL announced on November 23 that it had agreed a full funding package with DfT and Hertfordshire County Council for the project to extend LU's Metropolitan Line to Watford Junction, formerly known as the Croxley Rail Link (RB1483 p7). LU has succeeded Hertfordshire County Council as promoter of what is now known as the Metropolitan Line Extension, with TfL contributing £49.23m to the £284.4m funding package. DfT is providing £109/82m and local funding partners £125.35m, including £87.85m from the Hertfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership. This represents 40% of the LEP's total Growth Deal funding settlement from the government.
