1. Orr is due to publish on June 12 its assessment of Network Rail's performance in 2014-15. 2. At a reported £545m, DfT's contribution to the Chancellor's drive to achieve £4-5bn in savings by March 2016 is the largest of any government department, ahead of the Ministry of Defence at £500m. 3. In a written answer given in the House of Commons on June 4, Transport Minister Claire Perry said that DfT and TfL have respectively allocated £90m and £25m (at 2013 prices) towards electrification of the Gospel Oak - Barking route. Enabling works are due to start in October, followed by major works in June 2016 for the route to be 'available for use by passenger operators by June 30 2017'. 4. Responding to recent media reports, a DfT spokesperson has said 'the government has no plans to break up Network Rail or outsource any of the 18 stations that it currently manages'.
