NLL growth drives ambitions

Transport for London is continuing to push for additional London Overground services to cope with rising demand on the North London Line. According to TfL London Rail Managing Director Mike Brown, NLL ridership has increased by 268% since the service was transferred to TfL from the former Sil-verlink franchise in November 2007 (RBI306 p7). As well as investment in station improvements and new EMUs, Brown told RBI that the London 2012 Olympics had left a lasting legacy by drawing passengers' attention to the much-improved orbital service.
