Chiltern to Oxford from December 12

Chiltern Railways services are due to begin running to Oxford on December 12, following the announcement by Network Rail on September 21 that tracklaying had been completed between Oxford Parkway and Oxford station. As part of the £320m project to add Oxford to the Chiltern network, 18 km of track between Bicester and Oxford has been doubled and the line speed raised to 160 km/h. The final sections of track to be completed were in the Peartree and Wolvercote areas.
