Caledonian Sleeper traction progress

Caledonian Sleeper reports that the newly-converted Class 73/9 locomotives being supplied by GB Rail-freight to haul the Aberdeen, Fort William and Inverness portions of its Highland Sleeper service from Edinburgh are now proving reliable in service. Five of the six-strong fleet have been delivered, with the final locomotive, No 73 971, due to arrive before the end of this month.
