C2c has confirmed that its Flexi-Season ticket which is aimed at part-time commuters has proved hugely popular since its launch, with passengers buying more than 5000 journeys in the first two weeks. More than 550 commuters in Essex have bought the tickets, which are valid for 10 journeys at a discounted price. The TOC notes that the number of people registering for the free c2c Smartcard, which passengers need before buying their Flexi-Season tickets, has also trebled since the new ticket was introduced.
