TfL faces income squeeze

In its updated business plan for the five years from 2018-19 to 2011-23, Transport for London says that from 2018-19 it will absorb an average £700m per annum reduction in its government grant to support operating costs. Despite 'some anticipated reductions in income', TfL says that it will continue to deliver 'record' levels of capital investment, through additional cuts to operating costs and 'intensifying value-engineering options on projects'.
