PPM drops in Period 8

Network Rail reports that the national average PPM score for Period 8 to November 11 was 83.9%, a significant fall of 5.4 percentage points from the score of 89.3% for P7 2017-18 (RB1545 p7). The national average MM PPM was down by 0.1 points at 88.3%. The national average right-time score for P8 was 56.2%, down by 5.6 points from P7 and by 9.4 points from P6, demonstrating the continuing impact of low adhesion during the autumn leaf-fall season. Several TOCs continue to voice their dissatisfaction with the delivery of rail head treatment work by Network Rail.
